Destinations of the imperial city of Marrakech
Locations for those who wish to know the imperial city of Marrakech and its nearby touristic sites.
Marrakech is the capital of folklore, the main tourist attraction and the imperial city of the kingdom. It is typical for the city that on any moment of the day you will have something to do and enjoy. Marrakech is surrounded by a large palm forest and it is often called “the Red City” because of the homogeneous colors of its buildings. The government does not allow the palm trees to be chopped down unless the authorities give permission and only against justified reasons. The city’s geography is flat, facilitating the transport by bicycle and motorcycle in the midst of a chaotic traffic.
Places really worth visiting in Marrakech are the Jamaa el Fna square, which morphology changes three times a day; the Kutubia Mosk, a symbol of the city and twin sister with La Giralda in Seville. There is no other building in the city that surpasses the Kutubia in height. Also, there are unique beautiful palaces; the Menera Gardens and at last, the busy Medina, the best place for those who are shop addicted and where bargaining is an unrelenting and grim means to negotiate until the bottom price is reached. Don’t be ashamed and bargain implacably harsh.
Fez and Marrakech are the typical cities you will fall in love with and you will leave them with the promise to return.
